• Kites For Kids

Kites for Kids is our signature annual event to raise awareness and much needed resources to protect our community's most vulnerable, abused and neglected children. In past years our community event has brought over 9.000 visitors to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium to raise awareness for foster care and child abuse prevention. The event, taking place Saturday, April 22nd at The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, will consist of games, crafts, and kite-flying demonstrations throughout the zoo and aquarium. The zoo will also be adorned with hundreds of client decorated kites to symbolize hope, a happy childhood and a chance to soar- things that many local children do not experience.

  • sue's run4kids

We are sad to report that because of personal circumstances beyond our control, sue's run4kids will not take place in 2017. We write this with heavy hearts, as sue's run is very special and important to us and our family. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the event back in coming years.

In the meantime, the Lipman Youth Fund (for which sue's run raises money), will continue to operate, providing support for programs to help teenagers in the foster care system as they prepare to transition to independence. The Fund will continue to accept donations. We would greatly appreciate your continued support, as sue's run4kids is the only other funding source that keeps the Fund going.  You can donate by clicking the "donate" link on this page.

We are very sorry that we will not hold sue's run4kids this year.  Keep your eyes open for more information in the future. For the most up-to-date news, follow us on Twitter and Facebook.

Thank you for your understanding and support,

    Sue's family
