• Kites For Kids

Kites for Kids is our signature annual event to raise awareness and much needed resources to protect our community's most vulnerable, abused and neglected children. In past years our community event has brought over 9.000 visitors to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium to raise awareness for foster care and child abuse prevention. The event, taking place Saturday, April 22nd at The Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium, will consist of games, crafts, and kite-flying demonstrations throughout the zoo and aquarium. The zoo will also be adorned with hundreds of client decorated kites to symbolize hope, a happy childhood and a chance to soar- things that many local children do not experience.

  • sue's run4kids

sue's run4kids is a four-mile race held in beautiful Schenley Park, taking place on Sunday October 9th at 9:00 a.m.  A combination of paved, tree-lined roads and crushed limestone trails sets the course for this scenic timed run.  This year we are also holding two-mile and one-mile fun runs and family walks, so there is something for everyone of every skill level!

As always, we will have our fantastic pre- and post-race party, complete with the musical stylings of TK the DJ, delicious food, family-friendly games and activities, and a raffle with prizes you actually want to win!  All money raised benefits teenagers involved in the foster care system.

Ten amateur but extraordinary chefs will come together on Saturday, June 25th in a private home in Edgeworth to provide a spectacular combination of small plates paired with wine. All proceeds will go directly to KidsVoice. In addition, a portion of these proceeds will be matched by Cameron Heyward of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Over the course of the evening, the chefs will each share their specialty, from bourbon-smoked cheese with homemade breads to spring rolls, seafood, and more. Dress will be casual.

Tickets are $250/person and may be purchased at our donations page. Please simply make a donation as usual and type "Taste of Sewickley" as well as the names of all attendees in your party into the memo section near the bottom.
