Kites for Kids is our signature annual event to raise awareness and much needed resources to protect our community's most vulnerable, abused and neglected children. In past years our community event has brought several thousand visitors together to raise awareness for foster care and child abuse prevention. The event, taking place Saturday, April 21st at The Carnegie Science Center, will consist of games, crafts, and kite-flying demonstrations. The Science Center will also be adorned with hundreds of client decorated kites to symbolize hope, a happy childhood and a chance to soar- things that many local children do not experience.
We are sad to report that because of personal circumstances beyond our control, sue's run4kids will not take place in 2017. We write this with heavy hearts, as sue's run is very special and important to us and our family. We are hopeful that we will be able to bring the event back in coming years.
The 2nd Annual Taste of Sewickley Event occurred on Saturday, September 9th, 2017.
In 2016, ten local amateur chefs dazzled attendees with their specialties, from bourbon-smoked cheese with homemade breads to spring rolls, seafood, and more. In 2017, event attendees enjoyed a culinary Tour dell'Italia.
Check back in the coming months to see what the chefs have in store for us in 2018!
